Audi Q5 is a marvelous creation from the German Automobile company Audi. This was the second of the Q Series from Audi but gained popularity within no time becoming our choice for the top 10 4x4 cars of 2010. Audi Q5 is the machine that really deserves to be on the top 10 slots.
Interior and features inside:
The interiors and the features associated with the interiors are extremely handy and easy to manage. The best of technology has been used in order to turn simple mechanics into a masterpiece. You need not to look for your key when you have an Audi Q5 as there are proximity sensors that will detect your key to be around once you move at a distance of 1.5 meters automatically unlocking your car.
The start and stop feature of the car are equal handy. You sit in the car and press slightly the start button and your car will start without the need of putting the key into the ignition lock. The stopping will be done in the same way.
The complete interiors and seating are climate controlled and you can have your seat acting the same way as the climate demands it to. You will have the seat fairly cool in the summer while warm in the winters making your driving experience a good one. This feature helps a great deal when you are travelling long distances.
Power and performance:
The Audi Q5 engine is a combination of extreme notch performance, refined and impressive efficiency to save you fuel as well. There are 4 trims available out of which 2 run on gas while the other two run on diesel all with direct fuel injections to save you fuel.
The 2.0 TFSI engine delivers an output of 155kW (211bhp) and moves from a standstill to 100km/h in no more than 7.2 seconds. The 3.2 FST engine on the contrary delivers an enormous output of 199kW and rises from a standstill to 100km/h in just 6.9 seconds. Both these trims are quite powerful and they deliver speed and performance as well justifying being a reasonable choice for the 4x4 and sporty features that it carries.
The TDI trim on the other side has got two trims, one being the 2.0 Liter and the other being 3.0 Liter. The 2.0 trim delivers 125kW (170bhp) power output. The best part about these TDI versions is the enormous torque that they deliver; you get a 350Nm torque on low RPMs as low as 1750. The best spring of your Q5 2.0TDI will just take 9.9 seconds to rise to 100km/h. The 3.0 Liter TDI on the other hand delivers 176kW (240bhp) and has even better features compared to any other trim. The engine performs an excellent spring rising to 100km/h from a standstill on no more then 6.6 seconds.
The Audi Q5 is certainly a nice pick when you consider the car in terms of performance and the 4x4 features. All the trims available in the category give optimized performance getting you a sporty car that is 4x4 at the same time.
